Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival
Guests arrive at Hosea Kutako International Airport in Windhoek by 13:00 the latest.
We will begin our journey out of the city towards the red dunes of Sossusvlei.
We’ll spend the evening at the La Mirage (a castle in the desert and our home for two nights) where will get to know each other at a welcome dinner at the hotel.
Day 2: Sossusvlei
We will leave the hotel early in the morning and begin our journey towards Sossusvlei.
When we reach the entrance to the park, we’ll drive down to the parking lot for Dead Vlei and hike 1km into the desert.
You have the option to climb the Big Daddy dune or go straight to the vlei.
Afterwards, we’ll meet back at the car and drive to Sossusvlei. Here, you can climb the Big Momma dune or explore the surrounding area.
Driving out of the park, we’ll make stops at Dune 45 (the most photographed dune in the world) and other iconic photo spots in the park.

Day 2: Sunset Nature Drive
In the late afternoon, we’ll head back into the desert for a nature drive.
In a 4×4, we’ll drive up dunes, ride past herds of oryx, until we reach our sunset sundowners spot with incredible views of the red sand dunes.
OPTIONAL: Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Ride with NamibSky. Prices available on request and activity is subject to weather conditions.
Day 3-4: Sossusvlei to Swakopmund
We say goodbye to La Mirage and travel north to Swakopmund.
Along the way, we’ll stop at Solitaire for lunch.
The little town is famous for its retro cars reclaimed by the desert and delicious homemade apple pie.
We end the day at the Hansa Hotel which we’ll be our home base for the next two days.

Day 3-4: Swakopmund
Highlights for our time in Swakopmund include a quad biking tour, Sandwich Harbour full-day marine and dunes combo tour.
You’ll drive on the beach right next to the crashing waves with a 4×4. Your driver will take you to the top of some of the highest dunes in the area. It’s a rollercoaster experience with incredible views of the dunes and Namibian coastline.
If the weather is good, we’ll go on a sunset quad biking tour for sundowners. If the weather isn’t great, we’ll still do the tour, but it will be a bit earlier.
Day 5: Swakopmund to Spitzkoppe
We say goodbye to Swakopmund and travel to the remote Damaraland.
Here, we’ll stay at a tented camp outside of Spitzkoppe.
Our guide will take us inside the park to explore the famous rock formations including the “arch”.

Day 6: Spitzkoppe to Windhoek
We’ll leave Spitzkoppe in the morning, stop by the road-side crystal shops, and drive back to Windhoek.
On arrival, we’ll check in to the Windhoek Country Club for our final night together.
Day 7: Departure
We’ll have our final group breakfast, reflect on the amazing week we had together, and head to the airport.
